Martha`s Book:
Living Life Inside the Lines finally showed up Monday afternoon. By Tuesday night I had finished my first reading. One or two of the stories I had heard before, but there were some gut busting, scare the cats out of eight lives, laugh out loud, funny stories that I had never heard before. The Ben Washam wants a raise story was killer.
But whether or not you know the stories is not the point of the book. This is a book that deals with a whole area of animation never covered before, the day to day life of the people that created the animations, not just the directors and stars.
People forget that we have never really seen the drawings of Chuck Jones or Tex Avery on the screen. What we see is the work of Martha and her friends who copied the animator`s work on to cels and then paint them.
