An Evening with the Masters:

Over the years Tom Sito has done a number of interviews with the greats and unsung greats of animation.

People like Norm McCabe and Maurice Noble. People who have had major impact on the field of animation, have influenced thousands of animators and are household names to all the people inside the field but, sadly, do not have that much recognition in the world outside of animation.

I discovered the master tapes for a lot of these interview last Saturday while sorting out and boxing up the archive materials at the old Animation Center at 721 S. Victory Blvd. ASIFA site.

I took these tapes home and viewed them. They are solid gold. Just incredible insights into the history and thought processes of some of the most important players in the golden age of animation.

I am currently looking into the possibilities of creating a limited edition DVD called An Evening With ASIFA-Hollywood that would be edited from these interviews and could be made available to the public.

I have Tom looking for tapes of some of the other interviews that he did. I know that he interviewed Joe Grant I just don`t know if the interview was recorded. ( I hope, I hope, I hope)
