Additionally From August 18 through September 18, ASIFA-Hollywood will be conducting the 45th Annual Annie Awards Call for Nominating Committee Judges. All judges, whether they have applied in the past or are enrolling for the first time, must submit a new application. To be considered for a nominating committee, judges do not need to be ASIFA-Hollywood members, but must have an established career in animation and exemplary professional credentials in at least one of the Annie Award categories. Individuals in the animation community who are interested in being a nomination committee judge, will find the application at members.asifa-hollywood.org/judge-application.

August 18 will also mark the start of ASIFA-Hollywood’s Annual Membership Drive. Final deadline to join ASIFA-Hollywood or to renew membership and register to participate in the 45th Annie Award voting is midnight Monday, December 18. Delivery of screeners, however, is not guaranteed unless memberships are current as of November 20.

Created in 1972 by legendary voice actress June Foray, in whose name the philanthropic June Foray Award was established, the Annie Awards have grown in scope and stature during the past four decades. ASIFA-Hollywood also supports a range of animation activities and restoration efforts through its membership, including the Animation Archive, Animation Aid Foundation, Animation Educators Forum, film preservation, special events, scholarships and screenings.
