Debuting in 1969, the ASIFA-East Animated Film Festival is one of the longest running festivals of its kind. The festival is a unique showcase for the most groundbreaking independent and commercial animation being produced in the industry today. Every February, entries are submitted and judged during special jury screenings in March. Only current ASIFA-East members are permitted to vote for the winning films. The votes are sealed and tallied by an independent accountant and announced at a special awards ceremony in the Spring.
To learn more about the festival, please read our former President David B. Levy’s article, a wonderfully informative, behind the scenes look at ASIFA-East.
ASIFA-East warmly thanks online kids network batteryPop for their sponsorship of our reception! batteryPop is dedicated to helping creators find, and connect with 6-14 year old viewers. By hosting your content on their site, they can help you to grow your online audience, collect feedback from kids, and use that data when you pitch to networks.
