Beginning August 8, and for the next two weeks, until August 26, ASIFA-Hollywood will be conducting the 44th Annual Annie Award Call for Nominating Committee Judges. If you are interested in being a committee judge, please fill out and submit the application you will find at the Judges Page. Please note that the registration procedure has been simplified this year, but all judges, whether they have applied in the past or are enrolling for the first time, will need to submit a new application. Even if, in past years, you have applied to be an Annie Judge, you must apply again this year with your current information.
To be considered for a nominating committee, judges must have an established career in animation and exemplary professional credentials in at least one of the Annie Award categories. You do not need to be an ASIFA-Hollywood member to be an Annie judge. You need only to fulfill the professional career and credential requirements and apply. Additionally, some judges will also be selected to participate in the final jury procedures in late January, immediately following the general membership vote.
Though filling out an application does not guarantee you a committee position, it will definitely put you on our list of nomination judge candidates. if you are chosen, you must be prepared to spend a few hours in early November, reviewing your committee’s submissions on-line and then, sometime between November 5th and November 23, you will meet with your committee in-person or via an internet connection for the final nominee selection. You, your fellow judges and your committee chair will determine when/where that meeting will take place.

As a token of our appreciation, all judges will receive two complementary VIP tickets (one per judge and one for a guest–non transferable) to the 44th Annual Annie Award ceremony at UCLA’s Royce Hall, on Saturday, February 4, 2017.
