ASIFA-Hollywood is going to be at WonderCon this March and we want to see you there!
We’ve got exciting panels that we’ll be presenting and we want you to be there!
The Greatest Voices in Animation and Games
Join ASIFA-Hollywood for a lively discussion with some of the best voice actors in the animation and gaming industries! The panel will include anecdotes of breaking into the business, how they keep working through the changing landscape of entertainment and a few surprises! Scheduled guests will include Daniel Ross (Starscream, Donald Duck), Bill Farmer (Goofy, Pluto), David Sobolov (Drax the Destroyer, Blitzwing), Debi Derryberry (Jimmy Neutron, Draculaura), Julie Nathanson (Samantha Maxis, Scarlett Turner), and E.G. Daily (Buttercup, Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew). The panel will be moderated by Stephen Kramer Glickman (Big Time Rush). Guests subject to availability.

The Greatest Cartoons Ever!
Programmed and introduced by noted animation historian Jerry Beck and ASIFA-Hollywood executive director Frank Gladstone, this screening features the best and most notable theatrical shorts from Hollywood’s legendary golden age. Films scheduled include Tex Avery’s Drag A-Long Droopy, Chuck Jones’ The Scarlet Pumpernickle, Disney’s Lonesome Ghosts and Bugs Bunny vs. Pirate Sam in Friz Freleng’s Buccaneer Bunny. Fleischer Studios’ surreal Bimbo’s Initiation, as well as Hanna Barbera’s Tom & Jerry masterpiece The Truce Hurts are also planned part of the program.

The Changing Landscape of Entertainment
Join of panel of entertainment experts who will discuss the changing face of entertainment. The lively discussion will include how viewing habits of the general public is changing the way Hollywood creates and distributes content to the uprising “Generation Z” and “Generation Alpha” which is already changing the way entertainment is doing business. The panel will be moderated by ASIFA-Hollywood Vice-President David Derks.

Animation Superstars!
ASIFA-Hollywood is bringing together some of the brightest talents in animation to discuss the animation industry, tips on how to break into the industry and challenges and triumphs along the way. Guests will include Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Rise of the Guardians), Jorge Gutiérrez (Book of Life, Son of Jaguar, El Tigre, upcoming Maya and the Three), Daron Nefcy (Star vs. the Forces of Evil), Jeanette Moreno King (Alien News Desk, Enchantment, Futurama), and Alonso Ramirez Ramos (Disney’s Mickey Mouse Shorts, Steven Universe Movie). The panel will be moderated by ASIFA-Hollywood vice-president Brooke Keesling.

Go inside the musical world of your favorite film and television soundtracks! Join acclaimed independent soundtrack label La-La Land Records as it celebrates its 17th year with a behind-the-scenes look at their album production history, which includes the orchestral wonders of the recent sci-fi TV hit THE ORVILLE, their newly released 40th anniversary restoration of maestro John Williams’ immortal SUPERMAN, classic STAR TREK music releases, and even reveal some very exciting upcoming surprises in store for film music fans! The panel will include La-La Land’s co-founders MV Gerhard and Matt Verboys, Mike Matessino (THE JOHN WILLIAMS HARRY POTTER COLLECTION, SUPERMAN 40TH ANNIVERSARY, E.T. 35th ANNIVERSARY) and much more! The panel will be moderated by label producer Jeff Bond (STAR TREK: THE ORIGINAL SERIES SOUNDTRACK COLLECTION, LAND OF THE GIANTS).
