After the Fest, it will also host the annual Native American Virtual Animation Lab from December 7th - 11th and the Native American Youth Virtual Animation Workshop from December 14th - 15th. 2020 has been a great year in Native American animation and the LA SKINS FEST team is excited to showcase and develop the burgeoning talent from their community.

Filmmakers are encouraged to submit films for ASIFA-Hollywood's Animated Short Film of the Month initiative via its FilmFreeway entry page at https://filmfreeway.com/ASIFA-Hollywood. ASIFA-Hollywood accepts films on a rolling basis (the deadline listed on its FilmFreeway page is the final deadline for 2020). Films will be selected and announced on a Wednesday of every month. It is an exciting coming-of-age story about finding one’s own identity, truth and loyalty. We meet Ilze as a little girl playing war at her granddad´s farm, but then is faced with the horror of war threats at school. Ilze lives in a clash between Soviet reality and propaganda, as she finds out how opposite in their beliefs are people whom she loves the most.
