Ronald Searle in America: Exhibition at the #Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco
The Cartoon Art Museum presents the first career retrospective of the work of famed British cartoonist and illustrator Ronald Searle in Northern California. Animator Matt Jones, Exhibition Curator and longtime manager of the Ronald Searle Tribute blog, has assembled the best of Searle’s work produced while on reportage assignment around the United States. From Provincetown to Hawaii, Alaska to New Orleans, this Englishman with a wry sense of humor and biting satirical wit observed all the cultural icons of the decade spanning the mid 1950s to the mid 1960s.
If you’re in the San Francisco area, be sure to visit the gallery and see this exhibition. The last day for this exhibition is March 30, 2014.
The Cartoon Art Museum hosts dozens of events throughout the year, including book signings, creator appearances, lectures and workshops.
