39th Annie Awards Demo Reel Now Available for Viewing Online
The 2012 Annie Awards, held for the fourth year in a row at UCLA’s beautiful Art Deco treasure Royce Hall, was hosted by the irreverent comedian and actor Patton Oswalt. This year’s event drew perhaps the largest crowd in the history of the awards, due in part to the return of Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, and the fact that more nominees were being honored in 28 categories across the board.
With the addition of a live streaming of the event, the Annies were viewed online by over 12,000 people, giving access to animation fans across the country and the world.
The awards this year were the culmination of a tremendous amount of work by a veritable army of people; from the nominees themselves to the judging committees, the almost 2,000 registered voters, our executive board, the terrific Annie Awards production team and scores of volunteers. It was a great event, celebrating our ever-expanding animation community…and it was a lot of fun!
The 39th Annie Awards demo reel is now available for viewing. Please note the video does not include the entire show and some categories have been edited due to time constraints.
