#AnnieAwards Ballots Are On The Way
If you are a pro-member who has qualified to vote for the Annies, this year’s on-line ballot is on it’s way to you! Your vote is critical to a fair and balanced selection process. Voting instructions will be sent along with your ballot, but, as a preview:
We have continued to streamline the voting process, which will allow you to complete your ballot in much less time than in previous years. All qualified voters will be able to vote in every category, though you need not vote in every category to complete your ballot. The ballot will allow you to review all of the nominated titles. In most cases, this will involve watching a clip from each of the nominees. If you have already seen the work, you will be able to “scrub through” the clips, or skip them entirely.
Annie Award voting uses a weighted system. There may be up to eight nominees in a given category, but you will only vote for your top three selections, giving a # 1 to your first choice, # 2 to your second choice and # 3 to your final choice. You do not have to vote for three nominees in each category, but can opt to vote for two, or even just one. You may also refrain from casting a vote in any category for which you do not feel qualified to vote.
Further, you are not required to complete your ballot in one sitting. You may save your selection and log in to return to the ballot as often as needed during the voting period. Please allow yourself plenty of time to review and to make your final selections.
If you have any technical difficulties while filling out the ballot, please email votinghelp@annieawards.org for assistance. All inquiries will be re-directed to our voting personnel.
Finally, please remember that the deadline to cast ballots is midnight, Monday, January 20th, 2014. Late ballots will not be counted. No exceptions.
Thank you in advance for voting. We hope to see you at the 41st Annual Annie Awards on February 1st, 2014 at UCLA’s Royce Hall. Event information is available at http://annieawards.org/eventinfo.html
