ASIFA-Hollywood and BRIC Foundation Unite Industry Leaders to Address DEIA Challenges Across Entertainment, Animation, Gaming and VFX
The Executive Breakfast Conversation, Hosted by Baron Davis, Opens the 6th Annual BRIC Summit
BURBANK, CA (March 8, 2024) – ASIFA-Hollywood is pleased to partner with the BRIC Foundation to host an Executive Breakfast Conversation aimed at fostering meaningful discussions on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) within the entertainment industry. The event will be hosted by Baron Davis, investor, serial entrepreneur, two-time NBA All-Star, and creator of thought-provoking content and digital platforms.
The Executive Breakfast Conversation invites senior leadership and c-suite executives across animation, gaming, and visual effects to engage in candid dialogue about the challenges and opportunities surrounding DEIA efforts. This exclusive convening is designed to encourage collaboration among industry leaders, allowing them to share insights and explore actionable solutions that can be implemented within their respective companies.
The BRIC Foundation, dedicated to increasing representation in entertainment, gaming, media, and tech industries, was recently presented with the June Foray Award for significant benevolent impact at the 51st Annie Awards. The Executive Breakfast event sets the stage for the sixth annual BRIC Summit on March 15th, the organization’s annual think tank event that focuses on creating solutions that support and nurture rising creative talent from underrepresented groups.
“We have been floored by the progress BRIC has made paving a path towards inclusion and diversity on every level in the animation industry and education systems across the country and invite the leaders of our industry to join this vital conversation,” says Aubry Mintz, Interim Executive Director of ASIFA-Hollywood.
The Executive Breakfast Conversation serves as a platform for executives to exchange ideas, best practices, and strategies to advance DEIA initiatives within their organizations. Confirmed participants include BRC Imagination Arts, Dentsu, Disney Branded Television, Skydance Animation, Titmouse, Inc., and Warner Bros Discovery, among others. Attendance is by invitation only; senior executives interested in participating are encouraged to contact contact@bricfoundation.org for more information.
